Pharmacy Technician Program
Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in the healthcare system. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with the daily operations of a pharmacy department. Your responsibilities will include preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, managing records, and supporting the overall workflow to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe patient service.
This comprehensive program combines expert classroom instruction, hands-on compounding lab experience, exam preparation, and a supervised externship to ensure you are fully equipped for the workforce.
Certifications & Career Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the 22-week program, graduates will receive comprehensive post-program support and achieve the following milestones:
Certificate of Completion: Verifying you have achieved the knowledge and skills required to work as a Pharmacy Technician.

National Credential Eligibility: You will be fully prepared and eligible to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam to earn your highly recognized Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential.
DC Licensure Eligibility: Graduates will be eligible to apply for official Pharmacy Technician licensure through the DC Board of Pharmacy.
Eligibility & Admission Requirements
To ensure success in the program, all applicants must meet the following criteria before enrollment:
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), OR pass a board-approved examination.
Demonstrate a 12th-grade CASAS level reading and math proficiency.
Successfully complete a criminal background check.
Pass a mandatory drug screening.
WIOA Enrollment Requirements Applicants must meet WIOA eligibility requirements and provide the following documentation:
Proof of DC residency
Valid identification
Proof of Social Security number
Proof of U.S. citizenship or work authorization
Proof of income
Proof of dependents (if applicable)
Proof of Selective Service registration (for male applicants)
Proof of education
